Source Magazine Tour

DESCRIPTION:

This exclusive tour offers guests unprecedented access to the facilities and offices behind the world's leading hip-hop magazine.  Founded in 1988, The Source was integral in launching hip-hop music and culture into mainstream America's consciousness.  The Source invented the "5 Mic" album rating system, and through its "Unsigned Hype" column was credited with discovering artists such as Biggie Smalls and Eminem.  The Source is published in multiple languages with distribution in countries such as Japan, France, and Israel.

Guests on this tour will engage with The Source's marketing, advertising, and journalism departments to learn what it takes to run a highly successful magazine in today's competitive environment.  For those guests truly interested in hip-hop and journalism, there is also an opportunity to apply for an internship with The Source.
